About The Residence

Located in southwest Bakersfield, California, Juniper Grove Living offers furnish and unfurnished rooms, private and semi-private accomodations, and multiple bright and airy common spaces with high celings. Outside, a covered outdoor space, a large lawn, and perimeter garden complete our comfortable retreat.

The residence is conveniently located near local restaurant, shopping, and entertainment options, as well as Mercy Hospital Southwest and many physician and specialty offices.

Upon entering our home, our residents are welcomed into a formal living room with inviting seating arranged around a cozy fireplace. Two dining spaces provide versatility for daily meals and special gatherings—a formal dining room with an expandable table to accommodate residents and visiting family members, as well as a charming breakfast nook adjacent to the kitchen. A nearby credenza serves as a refreshments bar, with shelving above displaying familiar resident photographs to create a sense of belonging. The generously sized family room features six individual lift chairs and an extra-large television, creating a versatile gathering area for residents to enjoy entertainment, social activities, and group programs in a engaging atmosphere.

We offer both furnished and unfurnished private or semi-private rooms to accommodate individual preferences and needs.  Furnished rooms feature vintage solid wood furniture, artwork, and carefully selected lighting to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere. Each room overlooks either the backyard garden or a thoughtfully designed side garden space, bringing a connection to nature to the residents’ personal living space.

Our outdoor space features a large covered patio with a wrought iron table and chairs as well as a comfortable lounge area complete with a loveseat and individual seating, ideal for enjoying our outdoor space with family. A nearby raised vegetable garden offers residents to experience the joys of gardening and incorporating their harvest in their meal preparation. A well-maintained lawn provides space for outdoor activities, including lawn games and fitness options. The perimeter garden was thoughtfully designed and planted by our founder, with carefully selected hydrangeas, lavender, peonies, sage, magnolia, hibiscus, and David Austin roses, with the intent of offering a botanical year-round experience for our residents.
